Terms of Use
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Oruganti Vamsi, trading as Sutranet ("Sutranet", "we", "us") for your use of Sutranet CAD at cad.sutranet.co.in, including its solver engine, website and documentation (together, "the Service").
By creating an account, signing in or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you use the Service for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it, and "you" includes it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Sutranet CAD is a browser-based tool for modelling and analysing 3D frame and truss structures. It is currently offered free of charge as a public validation build. We may change, limit (for example, the number of solves per hour), suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time.
2. Your account
- You need an account to use the solver, except to open and solve the published verification problems, which you may do without one. Sign-in is provided by Google Firebase, using a Google account or an email address and password.
- An account is for one person. Do not share it or your sign-in details, and tell us promptly at support@sutranet.co.in if you think someone else has used it.
- You are responsible for what is done through your account.
3. Engineering results are your responsibility
Sutranet CAD is a calculation aid, not a substitute for professional engineering judgement. Its results depend entirely on the model, loads, sections, supports and settings you enter, and on the assumptions and methods of the software, which may contain errors.
Before any result is used to design, fabricate, install, modify or assess a structure, it must be independently checked and approved by a suitably qualified engineer who takes responsibility for the design. The design-code checks (such as IS 800:2007 and AISC 360) cover only the checks shown in the app, not every requirement of those standards.
4. Your licence to use the Service
While these terms apply, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service through a web browser for your own evaluation and engineering work, in line with these terms.
5. What you must not do
You must not, and must not help anyone else to:
- copy, download (other than what your browser does automatically to run the Service), extract, redistribute, sell, rent or publish any part of the Service, including its solver engine (the WebAssembly module) and scripts;
- decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer any part of the Service, or try to derive its source code or algorithms, except to the extent that applicable law expressly allows this despite this restriction;
- remove, alter or hide any copyright, licence or ownership notice, or any identifying mark, in the Service or any copy of it;
- get around or interfere with sign-in, solve authorisation, usage limits or any other technical protection;
- access the Service by automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts) or put an unreasonable load on it;
- use the Service, or anything learned from its internals, to build or improve a competing product;
- use the Service unlawfully or to infringe anyone's rights.
6. Ownership and identifying marks
The Service, including its software, solver engine, design, documentation and the Sutranet name, belongs to us and is protected by copyright and other laws. These terms do not transfer any of it to you. Open-source components remain under their own licences, listed in the third-party notices.
Each copy of the solver engine we deliver carries a licence notice and a mark identifying the account it was delivered to, or that it was delivered without sign-in. We may use these marks to identify copies used or distributed in breach of these terms.
7. Your models and data
- Your models stay yours. Models you create or import, and the results you obtain, belong to you (or whoever you work for).
- Your models stay in your browser. Analysis runs on your own device. Your model is not sent to our servers. Keep your own copies: export your work, because it is not stored for you.
- Account and usage data. To run accounts and enforce usage limits, we and Google Firebase process your sign-in details (such as your email address, name and account ID), and we record when your account authorises a solve or downloads the solver engine. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
- If you email us (for example, a bug report), we use what you send to answer and to improve the Service.
8. Feedback
If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them freely and without any obligation to you.
9. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the Service or its results are accurate, complete, fit for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or free of errors.
10. No liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable to you or anyone else for any loss or damage of any kind arising from or relating to the Service or its results, however caused. This includes direct, indirect, incidental, special and consequential loss; loss of profit, revenue, business, data or goodwill; and loss or damage arising from the design, construction, failure or performance of any structure.
Where the law does not allow liability to be excluded entirely, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to compensate us for any claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms or from your use of results obtained with the Service.
12. Suspension and ending
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access at any time, immediately if you breach these terms. Sections 3, 5, 6 and 9 to 14 continue to apply after your access ends.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with its date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so when you next sign in. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to them or to the Service.
