Sutranet CAD
Verification Examples
These problems check the accuracy of Sutranet CAD's solver, STAAD importer and design checks against published solutions, textbook answers and other programs. Each runs in the automated tests on every change, and each model can be opened in the app to reproduce the result.

Notes on comparisons
- Difference. References print rounded values. "None" means Sutranet's value rounds to the printed value; otherwise the table gives the relative difference.
- STAAD.Pro. Where STAAD.Pro is a reference, Sutranet ran the same input file in STAAD.Pro V8i SS6 and compared its printed output.
- Units. The solver works in SI. Problems set in kip and inch are converted in and the results converted back.
- P-Delta. STAAD's PDELTA with SMALLDELTA is the reference. STAAD reports moments inside an unmeshed member without the P-δ bow, so the moment along a member is compared with the same model meshed into 10 members.
- Design checks. The checks are given the reference's section properties, so the comparison is of the code clauses alone.
- Project files. Built from the same STAAD input files by the app's STAAD importer.
